Dreams (A Poem)

Centered opulence and fairytale dreams

bound with secure embraces,

playful they seemed.

Converging memories and daydreams

locked with pleasure,

wishful they seemed.

Conflicting vistas and broken dreams

doomed with pride,

hopeful they seemed.

Daze (A Poem)

It had been a long day,
winter haze and craving craze.
Minted and joyful
in the shimmering daze.

You said you needed me,
like the cocoa winter craze.
Gluttony and mayhem
in the merciful daze.

It had been a long day,
over sweetened, thou craze.
Granted and taken
in the shameful daze.

Maybe (A Poem)

Maybe you could see my heart burn,
maybe you could see me not sleep but turn.
Maybe you could see the smudges in my notebook,
maybe you could see all the chances I took.

Maybe you could see me over the grading sheets,

maybe you could see me break down on the streets.
Maybe you could see me fight the judgements,
maybe you could see me over all the arguments.

Maybe you could see me fight it all,

maybe you could see me feel alone in the crowded hall.
Maybe you could see what I went through,
maybe you could see how I battled to find what was true.

Maybe you could see what a little time could do,

maybe you could see what your little girl was ready to do.
